Trumpets herald the start of Christmas!

A 'packed-to-the-rafters' St Helena's Church tonight saw Hathern Brass Band lead the village in a rousing start to the festive season with a carol laden concert of music.

Over 150 people packed into the village's church for over two hours of delightful Christmas songs - both traditional carols and music associated with the season (such as White Christmas, the theme to the Snowman and other favourites).

Heartfelt thanks go the Hathern Band (especially their charismatic bandleader), to Rev Tim for hosting and to Henrietta and Liz (and team) for organising the event as well as the fabulous refreshments available at "half time". The hot mulled wine was especially welcome.
