Local residents were delighted by Rushcliffe Borough Council's recent decision to reject plans for an extensive solar panel farm in and around the village.
The application on the site was discussed at a Rushcliffe Borough Council planning meeting on Thursday 9th March.
The plans comprised construction and operation of a solar photovoltaic (‘PV’) farm comprising ground-mounted photovoltaic solar arrays, together with substation, inverter stations, security measures, site access, internal access tracks and other ancillary infrastructure, including landscaping and biodiversity enhancement.
Sarah R. stated that it was "A great result and everyone's contribution counted. The huge number of objections from the village made a real difference"
Anna H. added that it was "Fantastic news and credit to everyone involved in appealing".
Nadia commented to say "Thank you so much to those who took the lead. We are so happy to hear this (result). We said how grateful we are for the countryside around us".
