More than 40 horse riders took to the lanes of East and West Leake on Sunday 18th September 2022 as part of a national Facebook group campaign - "Passing Wide & Slow" - which aims to raise awareness of certain elements of the Highway Code and to improve road safety for riders of all ages.
West Leake villager, Lucy Ward (who supplied these photographs) was impressed by the turn out and hopes the event helped to achieve the organisational's goals, "It was a lovely sight to see".

Tim Henshall also noted that the cyclists captured in one of the images can be clearly seen to be cutting the corner and are well over onto the wrong side of the road - a dangerous practise on that bend (or anywhere else for that matter).
