Local duo makes 'Pointless' BBC1 appearance!

Village residents, Sue Harman and partner Phil Akiens did the village proud in their three recent appearances on hit BBC1 TV show, "Pointless".

Hosted by Alexander Armstrong (along with guest presenters, Ed Gamble and Rose Matafeo) the three shows were filmed on one day at the Versa Studios in London. The three episodes were then screened on Thursday 13th, Friday 14th and Monday 17th April, with the dynamic duo showed off their general knowledge skills to the nation. An average audience of around 3,000,000 tunes in for each episode of the show broadcast at 5pm each weekday.

Sue and Phil went out in the 'Elimination Round' on their first and third appearance but made the 'Head to Head' stage in their second show. At one stage they were within a single point of the Final, only to be pipped at the post.

Even if they did leave within the much coveted Pointless Trophy, Phil stated that "We had a very enjoyable day."

Sue added, "If you've ever considered entering for a TV show, go for it! The studio team looked after us very well and nothing was too much trouble. We only get one life to enjoy, so what's stopping you?"
