Dark Lane closed to traffic

Urgent electrical engineering work in New Kingston has caused Dark Lane to be closed to through traffic until 5pm Thursday 26th January (earliest) or Friday 27th latest.

The contractors have actually stated that traffic can, with care, drive through. But the local council has asked that the road be closed for safety reasons.

Spare a thought for the inhabitants of the two house shown below, you have seen their gardens dug up in order to lay new cables.
