A potentially record-breaking number of residents attended an event at the Village Hall on Saturday 12th, as the VH Committee hosted a boisterous and laughter-laden bingo night.
With 53 people packing into the hall, there was rollercoaster of emotions as the audience anxiously awaited the drawing of the next ball. Six cash and prize-winning games were completed, broken up by a hearty meal of pie, chips and peas ("33's"?).
The top prize on the night - £30 in cash, a £50 voucher for Wooden Dreams and a fabulous bottle of Taittinger Champagne - was won by visitor, Helen Gilby (shown above). Thanks to Leah at The Star Inn for donating a drinks voucher, too.
Many thanks to the hard-working 'kitchen crew' of Jenny, Kathryn, Julie and Cathie, as well as the front-of-house team - Alan (event organiser),Sarah, Jeremy, Andrew and caller, Tim.
