One Saturday every 3 months

from 10:00 – 12:00

Meet at the Village Hall

Each month, showing true community spirit, around 20 villagers take to the lanes in and around West Leake to clear up litter that has been inexplicably 'dumped' at the roadside.

Reflective jackets, litter pickers and rubbish bags are all provided. More unusual items found have included a child's tricycle, a seemingly brand new car registration plate and a horrendously dirty and insect filled bed quilt.

Worthy of note is the number of wing-mirrors collected on Dark Lane, no doubt as the result of collisions between two cars trying to pass one another on a roads that simply not wide enough!

With around 200 bottles and drinks cans collected, you cannot help but be amazed at how inconsiderate people have been in dropping their litter. Come and join us...you might be surprised just how enjoyable and rewarding it can be.
